Tom – How long have you been freestyle skateboarding?
Dean – I started freestyle in the early 80s, but technically I have been freestyle skating for 4 years.

Tom – What’s your current board setup?
Dean – I ride a Moonshine double kick Kill Your Idols 7.3″,  Paris trucks, Venom bushings, Waltz Stinkers, Synopsis bearings, Seismic skids.

Tom – Current favourite song?
Dean – HIM, The Sacrament.

Tom – What’s your current favourite trick and one you’re working on?
Dean – No handed 50 50 and No handed 50 50.

Tom – What plans do you have for your skateboarding in 2023?
Dean – Push harder, learn more, progression, getting my flow together and getting a routine.

Tom – Who’s your current favourite freestyle skater?
Dean – Everyone, I can’t put names on them because everyone brings something so great and different. I can’t just name one. Right now I get to see so many styles and variations of different tricks but if you need a little hint, it’s all East Coast baby.

Tom – What was your first freestyle skateboard setup, and who was the first person you saw skating freestyle?
Dean – My very first freestyle was a Sims Steve Rocco with Independent trucks and Sims Rocco wheels.

Tom – What has been your favourite moment in freestyle skateboarding?
Dean – 4 years ago when I realized freestyle wasn’t dead.

Tom – How is the freestyle scene in Myrtle Beach?
Dean – I’ve met a few people but all in all it’s fine with me I like skating alone.  Maybe I’ll find a spot here where people don’t worry about me getting hurt.

Tom – Any last words or shout-outs?
Dean – I want to give a shout out to James Dean Jones for getting me back into this it’s been a fun ride so far and to my girls and Ocean, to all my followers and the people that have liked my videos I couldn’t have done it without any of y’all.
